Growing up in West Vancouver, Mason was drawn to the creative side early in life and designing and making things seemed to come naturally. Exposure to the local "West Coast Modernist" architecture of the mid century stimulated a passion for house design and influences his work to this day. His design inspiration is drawn from a combination of those early memories and from the unique natural environment of the west coast. Trees, rocks, streams, beaches, oceans, mountains are the palette and the unique building sites of Vancouver, the canvas.
Mason has worked in the architecture, design and construction industry since the mid 1970s and has gained extensive experience in all aspects of the industry. Over the last several years he has developed a unique style of home design that incorporates both practical construction and attractive contemporary forms and materials. His many projects are scattered around North and West Vancouver and have drawn substantial praise both within the industry and from his clients.
